Concrete. Industrial. Gigantic machines with German names... Mergel Kratzer evolved from the barren environments of Gotland. Inspiration from a cement factory combined with fast, arpeggiated synthesiezers and hammering basslines created the sound. A hoarse voice and some distorted beats added the EBM-touch... Back in 2005, when it all started, it was just Joel and Kalle. They decided to start a band with one clear ambition; to make a better live show than most of the electronic bands out there.
